EZ-Pad

This is a closer view of the EZ Pad Controls. Each of its functions are listed below:

EZ Pad Device: Move your finger on the pad in the direction you wish to move the cursor on the monitor's screen. DO NOT press on the pad with a pen or any other instrument that may damage it.

Left Click Button: Click the same as a standard mouse's left button. (When using EZ Pad to control the cursor.)

Resume/Right Click Button: Press to wake EZ Pad from sleep mode. (When already using EZ Pad, click the same as a standard mouse's right button.)


Keypad

This is a closer view of the keyboards power button and special function control buttons that are used to control operations of the TV. Each of their functions are listed below:

Power button: Press once to send the Destination System into Suspend Mode.

Special Function Controls:

Volume Arrow Buttons: Press up (or down) arrow to increase (or decrease) volume.

Channel Arrow Buttons: Press up (or down) to go to higher (or lower) channels.

Menu Button: Press once to display the Destivu menu bar.

A/V Button: Press once to display the Destivu Audio/Video controls.

Guide Button: Press to display television programming schedule and browse when watching TV.

Recall Button: Press to return to previous television channel.


PS2 Port

This is a closer view of the PS/2 keyboard connector found on the top edge of the keyboard. Plug one end of a PS/2 to PS/2 connectorcable into this plug-in and the other into the back of the CPU for an attached connection. Gateway currently does not support or sell this cable.

To remove the battery cover push down on the indented arrow and push out until it releases from the latch. Then lift the cover right up and off.

This is a closer view of the battery compartment. Notice the springs on each end. The negative (-) ends of the AA batteries place into the battery compartment in this way. The (+) and (-) ends are also labeled on the bottom for further clarification.


Switches

This is a close-up view of the two frequency id switches and the reset button located under the battery cover.

To reset the keyboard, follow these steps:


    Locate the switches and reset button.
    Make sure all switches are set the same.

    Steps 3 through 5 must be completed within 30 seconds of one another.


    Press the Reset Button on the RF (Radio Frequency) receiver.
    Press the Reset Button on the Remote Keyboard.
    Press one of the keys on the Keyboard several times to confirm operation.
    Replace the battery compartment cover on the keyboard.
