Power Button and Trackball

This is a closer view of the power button, track ball and mouse buttons. Each of their functions are listed here:

Power button: Press once to send the Destination System into Suspend Mode.

Track ball Device: Rotate the track ball to move the cursor in a corresponding direction.

Left Click Button: Press the left button the same as a standard mouse. Click, double-click, etc.

Right Click Button: Press the right button the same as a standard mouse.

To Remove the Mouse Track Ball

To remove the Track Ball from its housing, first take a paper clip or pin and insert it into one of the tiny holes in the ring around the edge of the ball. Push in and turn the ring counter-clockwise to release the ring. Then turn the mouse over and let the ball and ring fall into the users hand.

Cleaning the Mouse Track Ball

From time to time it will be necessary to clean the track ball to ensure smooth operation. After removing the Track Ball, use a soft damp cloth to clean the ball. It may also be necessary to blow out any dust or lint that may accumulate in the mouse housing.

To replace the Track Ball

To replace the Track Ball back into its housing, place the ball in the mouse and place the ring around the ball. Turn the ring clockwise until the ring locks into place.


Keypad

This is a closer view of the keypad. Functions are listed below:

Channel
Arrow
Buttons:
Press the up (or down) arrow to go to the next higher (or lower) channel while watching TV.
Volume
Arrow
Buttons:
Press the up (or down) arrow to increase (or decrease) the volume of sounds from the Destination System.
Numeric
Keypad:
Press the appropriate button(s) to enter a new channel number while watching TV.
Menu
Button:
Press once to open the Destivu menu bar. Destivu has to be active for this to be operational.
Guide
Button:
Press to switch between modes while watching TV.
A/V
Button:
Press once to open the Audio/Video Control Panel. Destivu has to be active for this to be operational.
Windows
Button:
Press to bring up Windows 95 / Windows 98 Start Menu.
Recall
Button:
Press to return to previous channel while watching TV.

To remove the battery cover push down on the indented arrow and push out until it releases from the latch. Then lift the cover up slightly on the end and pull off. For a closer view of the battery cover, click on its hotspot.

Click on the hotspot on the switch for a closer view on resetting the wireless mouse.

Note: Notice on the bottom of the battery compartment the (+)s and (-)s. This indicates how to insert the AAA batteries.

This is a close-up view of the two frequency id switches and the reset button located under the battery cover.

To reset the mouse, follow these steps:


    Locate the switches and reset button.
    Make sure all switches are set the same.

    Steps 3 thru 5 must be completed within 30 seconds of one another.


    Press the Reset Button on the RF(Radio Frequency) receiver.
    Press the Reset Button on the Remote Mouse.
    Press one of the buttons on the Mouse several times to confirm operation.
    Replace the battery compartment cover on the mouse.
