Reprogramming
the Gateway 200
Internet Button
You
can set up the Internet button to open your Web browser or any
other program you choose. For example, if you use America Online as
your Internet provider, you may want America Online to open when you
press the Internet button. If you have an
always on
Internet connection, you may want to run a Web browser such as Microsoft
Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator when you press this button.
You can also use this button to run a program such a Microsoft Word
or Microsoft Works.
The
button has been pre-programmed to open Microsoft Internet Explorer.

The first time you run Microsoft Internet Explorer in Windows 2000, the Internet Connection Wizard opens.

Complete the following steps if you want the Internet button to run a program other than Microsoft Internet Explorer.
To reprogram the Gateway 200 Internet button:

Double-click
the Key Setting icon in the taskbar. The
Key Setting
dialog box opens.

Click
Browse.
The
Open
dialog box opens.

Browse
for the program (such as aol.exe, netscp6.exe, or winword.exe) that
you want to open when you push the Internet button. Click the program,
then click
Open.

Click OK.
