Gateway recommends using the "My Downloads" tab above to find system specific drivers for your computer.

Note: Downloads posted on this site have been tested and certified with hardware configurations sold by Gateway. Although component vendors offer additional drivers on their Web sites, Gateway neither warrants installation nor supports drivers outside the Gateway site. If a driver is downloaded from an external vendor site, support for that driver is provided by that vendor. Gateway tests, certifies and provides drivers for multiple operating systems only when the vendor makes them available to Gateway for certification.

Note: GWSCAN 5.12 is a diagnostic hard drive utility. This program allows you to verify most hard drives. There are options to check the disk, test the disk, and write zeros to the disk. This GWSCAN version is for hard drives that are larger than 10 gigabytes (GB). If testing or writing zeros to a hard drive that is 10 GB or smaller, GWSCAN version 3.15 is recommended.

Note: GWSCAN 5.12 must be run from bootable media because it runs in MS-DOS. Please refer to the Program Use section for instructions on how to run GWSCAN.

Note: This utility will attempt to read a hard drive, write zeros to it, and measure seek times and data transfer rates. It also will repair certain issues with Gateway IDE hard drives. Before opening the file, please insert a blank diskette into the floppy drive that has not been formatted in Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Windows NT.
