Installing Service Packs
Windows NT Server 4.0 was released in 1996. A great deal has happened in the computer industry since then, and Windows NT has (to some extent) kept up. However, when you purchase Windows NT, the CD-ROM in the box is still the original 1998 version. To upgrade your installation, you must obtain and install the latest Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack from Microsoft.
