We will look at VHS recording, Hi8-MM recording, and Digital recording. We will also look at the benefits and limitations of each medium. Whereas the original video recorders used analog techniques (magnetic tape) to record images, modern camcorders use a digital imaging system, storing the information on a computer chip, which translates into a diminished loss of quality.
