Use Power Settings
Windows Me offers features to take advantage of the power management features built into the motherboard of your computer system and other components like the display adapter. If your system provides only APM (Advanced Power Management) capabilities, then you can use Windows standby features. If your system provides ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) capabilities, then Windows also can hibernate your system. The next tutorials explain how to use these features, as well as how to change settings for them.
