Many encryption software packages are available that allow you to send your e-mail out in an encrypted format. Many web sites are also encrypting the data that you send them when you're at their site (forms, etc.) to protect it from being intercepted in plain text. In this series, you'll learn what encryption is, the two types of encryption – public key and private key, and how to send and receive encrypted messages.
