For example, if you want a particular paragraph to have 1.5 inch left and right margins, italic text and in Arial font, you could apply a particular style quicker than choosing all of the formatting you need. Styles can be created and used for any formatting reasons: paragraph numbering, margins, fonts, font sizes, colors, etc. Styles can be used in any Lotus Notes document and can be edited.
