Using Cookies Safely
When you connect to a Web page for the first time that uses cookies, the Web server sends a cookie to your browser. This cookie contains information about your interaction with the Web site. The next time you connect to the same Web site, the cookie is sent back to the Web server. Though cookies can help a Web site to serve you better (it knows where you go, what you buy, and what you do), cookies are also a potential security risk.
