Using Content Ratings
Content ratings are designed to prevent sites containing nudity, hate crimes, or other material from appearing in your browser. In general, content rating keeps your browser from accessing certain Web sites, based on the site's ratings and on your criteria. The descriptions in these tutorials are based on PICS self-rating. (NOTE: Though self-rating is not as effective as content blocking, it is described here because it has formed the basis for other types of content controls.)
