Work with Map Files
MapPoint 2001 enables you to save each map you build in a separate file, so you don't have to repeat any work. For example, once you've imported data onto a map, saving the map places the map and the data in a file. You can print any map, as well as specialized versions of maps, such as a printout optimized for faxing. Finally, you can use a map template to control the default appearance for new maps you create. This series of tutorials explores map files, map printouts, and map templates.
