Working With Layers
The ability to use layers started with the 4.0 versions of our popular Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer. Layers are most easily thought of as stacked overhead transparencies, with each level containing different information and allowing the viewing of each other layer of information through itself. Layers allow you to place information in specific locations on our documents, or send it flying across the screen.
