By combining typefaces, sizes, and colors and varying spacing, you can use InDesign to create everything from justified newspaper columns and blocks of advertising copy to eye-catching headlines and sharp corporate logos. When formatting text, InDesign makes an important distinction between character formats (such as font and size) and paragraph formats (such as indents and alignment). In larger publications, you can automate formatting with style sheets.
