Work with Text
The hallmark feature of InDesign is its multiline composer - a method of hyphenating and spacing text that considers lines above and below the current line - which results in highly professional looking text. Of course, before you consider the composition, you need to get text into InDesign in the first place. You can do this by importing text from a word processor or by typing within a document. Once text is in a document, you can easily edit, spell check, and use search and replace to finalize the text.
