| Insert the Norton AntiVirus 2003 installation CD into your CD-ROM or DVD drive. It should start automatically. |

| If it doesn't start automatically, use Windows Explorer to browse to the drive containing the installation CD. Locate the file called CDSTART.EXE and click on it. |

| Select Install Norton AntiVirus 2003 from the menu. |

| You will see a message telling you that some system files have been updated and that you must restart your computer to install the program. Click OK to restart. |

| When your computer reboots and you have logged in (if required on your system), the Windows Installer will be preparing to install Norton AntiVirus. |

| A Norton AntiVirus 2003 Setup window will appear, containing a message welcoming you to the Installation Wizard. You are warned to exit all other programs before continuing. Click Next when you are ready to start the wizard. |

| If you already have an antivirus program installed on your computer, a window will appear, recommending that you uninstall the other antivirus software before continuing. Note that although you can have more than one antivirus program on your machine, it is not recommended. Click OK to quit Setup and uninstall the other antivirus program. |

| If you do not have another antivirus program installed, you will not see the message in the above step. Go to the "Finish Installing Norton AntiVirus 2003" tutorial at this time. |

| If you have another antivirus program installed that you wish to remove, click the Start button on your desktop and select Settings, Control Panel. Click on the Add/Remove Programs icon, locate your antivirus program, and follow the instructions on the screen to remove it. When you are finished, go to the "Finish Installing Norton AntiVirus 2003" tutorial. |
