| The Export facility saves a marketing plan as a fully-formatted Rich Text Format (.rtf) file that can be used in any of the more powerful word processors. This can be useful, for example, if you want the features of a full word processing program to create text columns within your topic outlines. Select Export from the File pull down menu. |

| From the Export menu, select Export Plan. The Export Plan window will open. |

| Click the boxes in the dialog box to Include Tables, Include Charts, Include ALL Topics, or Select Topics. Click the Plan Options button to include Table of Contents, Cover Page, Legal Page. After making your choices, select the Export button. |

| The Save Marketing Plan RTF File As dialog box will display. The file name will display with an .rtf extension attached. Enter a name for your plan, and select the Save button. Your exported .rtf file is now ready to be opened in a word processing program. Follow the normal word processing procedure to open the file and make your additional formatting changes. (Remember, once you convert a plan in rich text format, you cannot import the plan back into Marketing Plan Pro.) |
