Using Menu/Toolbar Commands
Tutorial Home >Software >Office >ViaVoice Pro 7 >How do I use the menu and toolbar commands in Via Voice Pro? Tutorial Home >Software >Office >ViaVoice Pro 7 >Navigate Windows with Voice >Using Menu/Toolbar Commands | |

 | | Access menu items in an application by saying the menu word as a command in ViaVoice. For example, to access the Format menu in Microsoft Word, say, "Format". The Format menu will be displayed. To select a command from the displayed menu, say the command word. For example, to access Paragraph from the Format menu, say, "Paragraph" while the Format menu is displayed. | | | |

 | | Use voice shortcuts to menu items rather than displaying the menu first. If you know the command word in a particular menu, you can just say the command word. For example, if you want to access Paragraph properties in Word say, "Paragraph". The Paragraph properties window will be displayed and you bypassed the Format menu. | | | |

 | | Say the name of a drop down list name to select it. If you do not know the name of the drop down list, get familiar with the names first by placing your cursor over the drop down list. The drop down list name will pop up next to the list. In this example, say, "Font". The font drop down list will be selected. | | | |

 | | Say, "Drop down" to display the contents of the selected drop down list. | | | |

 | | Say, "Next Field" to navigate from field to field in any dialog window. | |
