  Step 1:  Start Norton SystemWorks

Open a Report
Double-click the Norton SystemWorks icon located on the desktop. You can also click the Start button, then Programs, then Norton SystemWorks, then Norton SystemWorks.
  Step 2:  Choose CleanUp Submenu

Open a Report
On the left side of the screen are the menu items. Click the Norton CleanSweep menu and then the CleanUp submenu. This will give you access to three different utilities.
  Step 3:  Execute Fast & Safe Cleanup

Open a Report
Click on the Fast & Safe Cleanup menu located on the right side of the window. This will start the program. This program will delete files from your hard drive that aren't necessary.
  Step 4:  Open the Safe

Open a Report
On the Fast & Safe Cleanup main menu, click the Open Safe button located on the right side of the screen. The safe will be opened so you can add, delete, restore, or change the settings.
  Step 5:  Adding Files

Open a Report
Click the Scan Now button and the program will search the Recycle Bin for any files of the type that are checked in the Settings. If any are found they will be listed in the window and added to the safe.
  Step 6:  Delete and Restore

Open a Report
If you have a file that you know you don't need anymore, you can highlight it and click the Delete button. The file will be deleted from the Recycle Bin and the Safe. If you want to restore a file, highlight the file and click the Restore button.
