  Step 1:  Check Your Documentation

Open a Report
Recheck the documentation that came with your motherboard or PC. Some systems require proprietary RAM, special RAM designed to work with a particular type of system or motherboard. If your system is supposed to use a proprietary type of RAM as specified by the manufacturer, and you replaced or upgraded this RAM with regular RAM, this needs to be rectified.
  Step 2:  Obtain Correct RAM

Open a Report
Determine from the documentation or by contacting the manufacturer exactly what type of RAM you need for the replacement/upgrade you need to make. Obtain this type of RAM in the desired amount.
  Step 3:  Replace Current RAM

Open a Report
With your PC off, disconnected from power, and the case removed, ground yourself, and substitute the correct proprietary RAM for the regular RAM you recently installed before the current problems began.
  Step 4:  Replace and Reassess

Open a Report
Replace the PC cover and power connections, and turn the unit on. As you work, reassess whether the change of RAM has reduced or eliminated the occurrence of the previous problem you experienced. If not, contact your PC or motherboard manufacturer for assistance.
