  Step 1:  Verify Connection

Open a Report
If your IDE Zip drive is not working correctly. Verify the IDE connection.
  Step 2:  Shut Down the System

Open a Report
Go to Start, click Shut Down, and choose Shut Down the System. Shut off the computer at the switch.
  Step 3:  Open the Case

Open a Report
Remove the cover of the computer. Place the screws in a place where you can find them. Be sure that you are properly grounded before placing your hands inside the case.
  Step 4:  Check Data and Power Cables

Open a Report
Make sure that the data and power cables are connected properly and snuggly at both the drive side and the system board end.
  Step 5:  Reassemble the Computer

Open a Report
Put the cover back on the computer, making sure that no cables or wires are pinched between the frame and the cover. Restart the system.
  Step 6:  Contact IOMEGA

Open a Report
If there is still trouble with the IDE internal Zip drive, contact IOMEGA for further information.
