Step 1:  Set Your Default CD Player

Siren has some added functionality that makes it a good choice for being your default CD player. Instead of the regular (track 1) as a song name, how about the song name itself being shown, even if you are not online? If this sounds good, read on.
Step 2:  Set the Default Player

Open a Report
In the set up wizard (get to it by choosing "options / configuration wizard"), you set up the default player. Simply click the box for "Make Siren your default CD player".
Step 3:  Play Your CD for the First Tim

Open a Report
Make sure you are online (just for this time). Then put the CD into the player and notice the non-useful info (Track 1, Track 2, etc…). Simply click on "Get CD Info" and the track names, artist, and album will all magically appear thanks to the CDDB magic.
Step 4:  What About Next Time?

Open a Report
When the CDDB info is retrieved, Siren also creates a local database on your computer of all of your CDs, which is then accessed whenever you put a CD into the computer. If you have put the information into the PC in the past, that information will be displayed, even if you are not connected to the Internet!
