Step 1:  Why Modify Advanced DAE?

Open a Report
Several settings can be used to adjust DAE (digital audio extraction) if your CD-ROM drive seems to be having trouble ripping in digital mode. The DAE settings are found by clicking the Advanced button on the Recorder Settings window.
  Step 2:  Changing Multiple Settings

Open a Report
You may change several of the Advanced DAE settings at a time to try and find the best solution if you're experiencing jitter in the MP3s you create with MusicMatch. You may have to experiment with several different combinations of settings.
  Step 3:  DAE Speed

Open a Report
DAE speed sets the rate of reading music from the CD during recording. If your MP3s sound like the song has been sped up, try adjusting the DAE Speed to a lower value, because your drive may be having trouble keeping up with itself.
  Step 4:  Multipass

Open a Report
Try changing the value of the Multipass setting to "Yes" if your CD-ROM drive still has a jitter problem even when error correction is turned on in digital recording mode. Leave this setting turned off for better performance if no jitter is occurring.
  Step 5:  Block

Open a Report
Try increasing the Block value if your MP3s seem sped up, or have noise problems due to jitter. The maximum value allowed by MusicMatch is 100. Raising this value will slow down the ripping process.
  Step 6:  Overlap

Open a Report
Increase the Overlap setting if you need to eliminate jitter noise in your MP3s. The maximum value allowed is 10.
  Step 7:  Max Mismatches

Open a Report
This is another setting that may help with jitter problems or MP3s that sound sped up. It can be increased up to a maximum value of 255.
