  Step 1:  Access Settings

Open a Report
If you've decided to try the Analog CD-ROM access method, you need to check several settings. Click on the Analog checkbox in the General settings window to see the options.
  Step 2:  Setting the CD-ROM Unit

Open a Report
The CD-ROM Unit setting shows the letters that correspond to CD-ROM drives you have installed. If you have more than one drive, select the one you want to use for ripping CDs.
  Step 3:  Picking the Input Soundcard

Open a Report
In the unlikely case that you have more than one soundcard installed in your computer, choose the one you want to use for ripping in the dropdown list.
  Step 4:  Input Sound Volume

Open a Report
Set a input volume level to use when ripping your CDs. The recommended default is about 75%.
  Step 5:  Muting Speakers

Open a Report
If you don't want to hear your CD playing as you rip it, select the "Mute Speakers while ripping" checkbox.
