| The CD-ROM Unit setting shows the letters that correspond to CD-ROM drives you have installed. If you have more than one drive, select the one you want to use for ripping CDs. |

| In the unlikely case that you have more than one soundcard installed in your computer, choose the one you want to use for ripping in the dropdown list. |

| Set a input volume level to use when ripping your CDs. The recommended default is about 75%. |

| If you don't want to hear your CD playing as you rip it, select the "Mute Speakers while ripping" checkbox. |
