Step 1:  Get More Remote Function

When you buy the MP3 Anywhere, you get a basic remote control that will function fine for controlling the music, however, you can gain much more flexibility by upgrading to a mouse remote.
Step 2:  More Money for Video

This remote was included with the higher-level model, but now it is a 25 dollar add-on (although you get a 20 dollar credit with any purchase, so it's not really expensive). It is definitely worth it.
Step 3:  Surf While Supine with X-10

The mouse remote allows you to view your computer screen on your TV. The joystick type controller allows you to control the mouse while the buttons on the back of the remote allow you to click the selection.
Step 4:  One Touch Launch for Email

You can program keys on the Mouse Remote to launch programs such as email and your browser. There is an alphanumeric capability that allows you to compose email, but I have found it to be quite clunky. You can launch your dialer, browser, and surf away from the Lazy Boy.
  Step 5:  Gaming Options

The controls are acceptable for fantasy (non-shooter) games where precise and fast movement is required. This means you can now play games from your couch! You can do all these functions while still controlling lights, MP3 player and all your home theater components!
