  Step 1:  Highlight Text

Open a Report
As with any other type of link you have to know what text that currently exists on your document you wish to use for the link to your FTP site, or the specific document. Highlight the text you plan on using for this link.
  Step 2:  Select the File

Open a Report
If the file you are lining to is local, you can select it from the Select File dialog. This dialog is reachable from the yellow folder icon located to the left of the Link field on the text's properties palette. Select the file you wish to use, and change the preface on the file to "ftp://" rather than the default "http://". Once you have selected your file and adjusted the URL, click the Select button.
  Step 3:  Type in Address

Open a Report
If you are not able to select the FTP file, or site from your Select File dialog, then you will need to type the full address into the Link field on the Properties palette. The address for a FTP site always starts with "ftp://" and then continues with the full address of the computer and file such as "ftp://wagonboss.net/aprogram.exe".
  Step 4:  View Document Properties

Open a Report
After providing the FTP address, the link destination will only be visible when you select the document and view the Link setting on the Properties palette. You can make any changes to the link from this palette.
