  Step 1:  Active Speakers

Open a Report
If your computer has active speakers (self amplifying), then there should be either a knob or a slot dial control on the front or side of (usually) the right speaker.
  Step 2:  Passive Speakers

If your computer has passive speakers (amplified by the sound card) then you will need to double click on the speaker icon in the lower right Start Bar. This will open the Volume Control Mixer.
  Step 3:  Volume Control Mixer

The first (left hand) "fader section" in the Volume Control Mixer is simply titled Volume Control. In this section, the "fader" is represented as a rectangle over a slot. You can click above or below the rectangle to raise or lower the volume or use the mouse to drag it to the desired level.
  Step 4:  Close Volume Control

Close out of the Volume Control Mixer by clicking the window's upper right "X".
