  Step 1:  Things to Remember

Cards are very delicate, so handle them carefully. If you bend one during installation, it can affect its circuitry.

When you buy a card, be sure to check its length. Cards come in different sizes, and the wrong one won't help you get the job done. You will usually use a PCI or ISA card, but check your manual to see which you need.
  Step 4:  The Good News

Cards are very easy to install. If you make sure that you have the correct one prior to installation and handle it carefully (avoiding static electricity), your job will be an easy one.
