  Step 1:  Modify a Field

Open a Report
You can modify a text form field so that only certain information can be entered into it. To modify a field, double-click it. Here I've double-clicked a text form field inserted in the cell next to Child's Grade. The Text Form Field Options dialog box appears.
Step 2:  Select a Field Type

Open a Report
Click the Type list arrow in the Text Form Field Options dialog box to display a list of the types of data that you can choose to enter in the field. Here I'm selecting the Number type because I want the persons completing the form to only enter a number in the field. This number will represent the child's grade in the school.
Step 3:  Exit the Dialog Box

Open a Report
Click OK to exit the Text Form Field Options dialog box. The text form field will not appear any differently even though you have changed the type to Number. However, when you come to complete the form in a later tutorial, you will only be permitted to enter a number in the field.
  Step 4:  Enter Remaining Fields

Open a Report
Here I've entered a Text Form Field in both the Home Phone and E-mail address cells.
