  Step 1:  Introduction to Graphics

The concept of graphics is an important one in the world of digital multimedia. Before graphics, the web consisted of letters and numbers. It was a text-based world for scientists and computer enthusiasts only.
Step 2:  Graphics and the WWW

Later, a section of the Internet was created that utilized graphics. This area was called the World Wide Web. The introduction of graphics made the online world more accessible and appealing to the masses.
Step 3:  Growth in Computer Graphics

You are probably using graphics already. Most software is written in the GUI (graphics user interface) format. Instead of typing in commands, you simply point and click using your mouse. Most of the GUI commands are in the form of icons (small graphic representations of program steps).
Step 4:  Be Productive with Graphics

There is no limit as to how you can utilize graphics to increase your productivity at work or home. Complex concepts involving numbers can be presented in a graphical format to show results visually. Most types of presentations can be improved using graphics to emphasize a point and reach your audience.
  Step 5:  Fun with Graphics

You can use the web to post pictures that are taken with a digital camera. Family members from far away can see the latest baby pictures or a graduation ceremony -- immediately.
