Your children are susceptible to many dangers on the Internet. In order for them to understand these dangers, you must teach them about them and how to protect themselves while they are online. How do you do that?

The best way to be sure that your children are being safe is to sit with them when they want to look at the Internet. This way you'll be able to teach them and watch them at the same time.

If your children are allowed to use chat rooms or an instant messenger program, be sure to let them know of the dangers. Make sure that they never give out any personal information about themselves. Also, mention that not everyone is telling the truth in these rooms either.
  Step 4:  Filling Out Forms

Even children's sites have kids fill out forms. If you don't want your child sending out certain information about themselves or the family to these sites, make sure that you tell them what you don't want told.
