  Step 1:  Visit Realtor.Com

Realtor.Com includes a checklist of what you need to apply for a loan. Type www.realtor.com and press Enter. Click the Link for Do the Main under the For Consumers heading in the main part of the home page. Under Worksheets and Checklists, you see a list of the available resources.
  Step 2:  View Application Checklist

Click the link for Application Checklist. You see a list of the data you need to collect. This figure shows just the top part of the list. You can scroll through to read the other items. Or print the list.
  Step 3:  Get More Information

Open a Report
You can get more detailed information about the loan application process at Fannie Mae's HomePath. Type www.homepath.com and press Enter. Then click the link for HomePurchasePath. You see the Section Overview. You can click any of these links to get more information.
