  Step 1:  Go to Your Realtor's Site

Open a Report
Start at the local realtor's site. In Indiana, a big realtor is FC Tucker, so this figure shows their home page. You can find information on local realtors in your area from print and TV ads and your local paper.
  Step 2:  Use Search Tool

Open a Report
Click the link for searching for homes. At this site, the link is called Search for Homes. You may be asked to narrow the search area, depending on how big of an area the company covers. For instance, for FC Tucker, you need to select an area, then a county, and then a township. Follow the specific instructions for navigating your realtor site.
  Step 3:  Enter Home Criteria

Open a Report
You may also be asked to limit the listings to a particular price range. For FC Tucker, you enter the price range, bedroom and bath information, living area, and year built. (You don't have to complete every one of these criteria. Just focus on the most important, price range and possibly number of bedrooms and baths.)
  Step 4:  Review Results

Open a Report
After entering all the requested criteria, you see a list of matching homes. You can scroll through the homes, noting those of interest.
  Step 5:  Get More Details

Open a Report
To view more detailed information about a home, click the appropriate link. For this site, click the Details button next to the property of interest. You can review the complete listing information, including MLS number and listing agent.
