  Step 1:  Select the Table

Open a Report
A caption is a textual label that is positioned either above or below a table and that describes the table's contents. You can create your own caption or a table by typing text above or below it, then formatting it in a heading style, for instance. But FrontPage also has an automatic caption option. The first step is to select the table.
Step 2:  Select the Caption Option

Open a Report
Select Table | Insert | Caption.
  Step 3:  Position the Caption

Open a Report
A new paragraph is created, by default, above the table. Enter the caption text. Tip: Display paragraph markers by clicking the Show All, so you can see the new paragraph.
  Step 4:  Choose Table Properties

Open a Report
To reposition the caption, select it, then choose Table | Properties | Caption.
  Step 5:  Adjust Caption Properties

Open a Report
In the Caption Properties dialog box, click on the button next to Bottom of Table if you want to reposition the caption. Tip: Click Style to assign a paragraph style to the caption.
Step 6:  Convert a Table to Text

Open a Report
Another way to have a table "interact" with text is to convert the context to text. Select the table, then select Table | Convert | Table to Text to do this. Tip: Selected text can be converted to a table by selecting Table | Convert | Text to Table. However, it's important to make sure elements within the text are separated by a single tab each; each element will go in its own table cell. Make sure all the paragraphs you select and want to convert to a table have exactly the same number of tabs.
