  Step 1:  More Characters

Open a Report
You can enter virtually any keyboard character you use on a computer into your Visor with a Graffiti key stroke. Use the shortcut pages, or the Graffiti cheat sheet stickers to view the key strokes for entering punctuation, symbols or to modify an alphabet character with an accent. Tap on the Memo button, then tap New to create a new memo to practice entering Graffiti characters.
  Step 2:  Create a Memo

To add a space between characters, draw a line from left to right on the writing pad.
Step 3:  Add a Space with Graffiti

Open a Report
To add a new line, draw a slash from upper right to lower left of the writing pad.
  Step 4:  Delete a Space

Open a Report
To move back one space (or delete the previous entry), draw a line from right to left on the writing pad.
  Step 5:  Tap Once

Open a Report
Practice entering punctuation characters by tapping once on the writing pad, then exercising a key stroke. This is called Punctuation Shift mode. If you accidentally tap once, enter a backward keystroke (move the pen from the right to the left of the writing pad) to re-set Graffiti back to regular input mode.
  Step 6:  Slash Down

Open a Report
Practice entering an additional set of punctuation by drawing a slash (from upper left to lower right) on the writing pad. This is called Extended Shift mode. You can enter bullets, semi colons, quotes, math symbols, and a bunch of other symbols traditionally entered by holding down the Option key on a computer keyboard.
  Step 7:  Move the Cursor

There are a few keystrokes that let you move the cursor (reverse horizontal keystrokes), tab between text fields (reverse vertical keystrokes), and open a record (in the address list), or access a short cut.
  Step 8:  Command Mode

Open a Report
Command mode lets you execute menu commands form the writing pad. Select a short cut, then enter command mode by drawing an upwards slash (from lower left to upper right) on the writing pad. Then write a keystroke, such as an R while the command prompt appears onscreen.Command-R executes the Preferences menu command. View the preferences for the Home page. Tap OK to save changes and exit the Preferences window. Tap Cancel if you don't want to save any changes and exit the window.
