  Step 1:  Using the Help Command

Open a Report
There are dozens of commands you can enter during an mIRC chat. A command is a keyword that is preceded with a slash (/). To find a descriptions of mIRC topics, type /help followed by any word you are interested in. For example, type /help join and the Help window will appear with a description associated with the word join highlighted.
  Step 2:  Using the Join Command

Open a Report
When you have found a chat that you want to participate in, you can join in that chat using the join command. For example, to join the #mp3city chat you would type /join #mp3city.
  Step 3:  Using the Channel Command

Open a Report
You can view the Channel Central window while you are in a channel by typing the /channel command. The Channel Central window displays modes and ban lists for the chat.
  Step 4:  Using the Nick Command

Open a Report
At any point during your IRC session you can change your nickname. To do so, simply type /nick newname, where newname is replaced by the new nickname you want to go by.
  Step 5:  Using the Query Command

Open a Report
You can open a query window to a selected nickname using the /query command. For example, you can type /query jonesboy to open a query window to the person nicknamed jonesboy.
  Step 6:  Using the Titlebar Command

Open a Report
You can change the text that appears in the title bar of your main mIRC32 window using the /titlebar command. For example, typing /titlebar My Cool mIRC Window would cause My Cool mIRC Window to appear in the titlebar.
