  Step 1:  Open Datasheet View

Open a Report
From the Database window click Tables in the Objects bar. Select the table you want to work with and click the Open button on the toolbar. The table opens in Datasheet view.
  Step 2:  Freeze a Column

Open a Report
You may have difficulty viewing your data on the screen because the screen display isn't wide enough to display all the fields for a record. You can make the data in Datasheet view easier to view by freezing a column at the left of the screen display. Place the insertion point in the column you want to freeze, and choose Format, Freeze Columns.
  Step 3:  Freeze Multiple Columns

Open a Report
You can keep more than one column frozen on the screen. Select the group of columns by clicking and dragging the field names before you use the Format, Freeze Columns command.
  Step 4:  Unfreeze Columns

Open a Report
If you want to return the screen display back to normal, you will simply need to choose Format, Unfreeze Columns. However, if Access moved the column you froze to the left edge of the table, it will not be returned to its original location. You will need to manually move the field by clicking and dragging it to the desired location.
