| AOL allows you to create a news profile that specifies what types of news you want to see, and how much of it. Then AOL sorts through the news sources you select and delivers articles directly to your mailbox. Each screen name can have more than one profile but is limited to a maximum of 250 articles per day. Each profile is limited to a maximum of 50 articles per day. |

| Make sure you're signed on to AOL, click the My AOL icon on the toolbar, and select News Profiles from the My AOL menu. The News Profiles window opens; you use it as a starting point for creating and managing your news. (You can also get here via the keyword NEWS PROFILES.) Click Create a Profile to begin setting up a new profile. |

| In the first News Profiles window, enter a title in the Create a Title for Your News Profile text box, or use the one created by AOL, as shown here. Adjust the Limit the Number of Daily Stories text box to reflect the maximum number of stories you want to receive for this profile each day. After you complete these two boxes, click Next. |

| Specify words or phrases you want to find in articles (not all these words need to be present for the article to be selected-just one). Enter the words or phrases in the text box separated by commas, and then click Next. |

| Specify words or phrases that must be present in the article (in this case, if an article does not contain every word or phrase specified, it won't be selected). Again, separate words or phrases by commas. Alternatively, you can specify words or phrases that you don't want to find in articles (if the word is found, you won't receive the article). Click Next to move on. |

| Select the news sources to search for articles that meet your criteria. Select a source on the left, and click Add to move it to the box on the right. If you decide to remove a news source, simply select it on the right and click Remove. |

| Scroll through the Summary dialog to view your selections; if necessary, click the Prev button to go back and make changes. When you're satisfied with your selections, click Done. A dialog box informs you that your news profile has been saved. |
