| You can quickly insert a hyperlink into your file, whether it's a Word document, an Excel worksheet, or any other Office file. The Office programs recognize URLs as links as soon as you type them. However, you must be careful about spelling the URL correctly. |

| Start by entering the text you want to use as a link. If you created a Web page using the Web Page Wizard, for example, you can select a pre-underlined link and type your own text. If you created a Web page from scratch, you can select any word or phrase to turn into a link. |

| Click the Create Hyperlink button on the Standard toolbar. This opens the Insert Hyperlink dialog box. |

| Click inside the Link to file or URL text box and enter the URL of the Web page you want to link to. |

| Click OK to close the dialog box. |

| The text you worked with appears in blue and has an underline to indicate it's a hyperlink. You can repeat these steps to add as many links as you like to the page. |
