  Step 1:  Calling a Modem

Open a Report
The older versions of NetMeeting allow you to enter a telephone number into the Address Line in order to place a call to a modem.
  Step 2:  Type in the Number

Open a Report
Simply type in the telephone number that you would like to call and click the telephone icon. Your computer will dial the number and connect with the modem at the other end.
  Step 3:  Windows 98/2000

Open a Report
If you are using Windows 98/2000 you can place a call to a modem by using the Dialer in NetMeeting. Choose Dial Pad from the View Menu.
  Step 4:  Phone Pad

Open a Report
A telephone pad will appear on your screen and you may click on each number as you would a telephone.
  Step 5:  Touch-Tone Signals

Open a Report
Your computer will issue touch-tone signals and the modem that you called will answer.
