 | | Microsoft Project offers three Resource-dedicated views: Resource Graph, Resource Sheet, Resource Usage. Each view gives a unique perspective on your assignment and utilization of your tasks' resources. To switch between the views, use the View panel on the left side of the Project application window. | | | |

 | | This view gives you a resource-by-resource bar graph, showing you each resource's allocated hours over time. By default, the bars showing resource allocation are blue, and any overallocation appears in red. To view each individual resource, click the left arrow on the horizontal scrollbar that controls the left panel of the graph window. For each click of the arrow, a different resource is displayed, and their allocation bar graph appears on the right side of the window. | | | |

 | | This view shows you a list of all the resources involved in your project. You can edit names, rates, costs, and base calendar options from within this view. This view also alerts you to any overallocations – any resource that is utilized at greater than 100% capacity appears in red. | | | |

 | | Use this view to see which tasks have resources allocated to them, and for each resource, how much time is devoted to individual tasks. You can edit the allocations for each resource, apply preset contours, edit contours, and access the Resource Information dialog box for any listed resource by simple double-clicking their name in the list. If you double-click the task to which they're assigned, the Assignment Information dialog box opens. | | | |

 | | To access additional resource-focused views, click the More Views button on the View panel. From within the More Views dialog box, scroll down to see the list of Resource views, including: Resource Allocation, Resource Form, Resource Name Form. Each of these views shows your resources, the tasks to which they're assigned, and how much time is allocated to each task. To see one of the views, select it in the More Views list, and click Apply. | | | |

 | | In the More Views dialog box, click the Edit button. The View Definition dialog box opens, from which you can choose to combine two different views in one window. Select a view from the Top drop list, and another one from the Bottom drop list. You can give your edited view a new name that describes the combined views displayed. The edited view will appear in the More Views dialog box for future access, or you can click the Show in Menu option to make the view accessible from the View menu. | |
