| The settings you create now will determine how your music is stored and utilized for the life of your use of Scour Xchange. Therefore, you should pay close attention to where the program defaults and where you want it to go. |

| You will be asked where you would like your music stored. Generally, you can keep it with all your music "my music" directory (find it by clicking "browse"), or segregate it in the default Xchange directory. |

| The next question is whether or not you want Scour to scan your hard drive and look for music, video, and photos to share with others. This will determine if you want to share them or not. Music is easy, but if there are personal or incriminating photos you have of yourself or others, then you will want to pay close attention to the next step. |

| You are given the directories that Xchange is going to share. Examine them closely and deselect the areas you want kept private. If you have photos you would rather not share (think about all the crazy things people do with doctored photos), you should move them to a new private directory and make that non-shared. |

| You will now be properly configured to begin using Xchange. The program is now making your music and photos (if you allow it) available for others to share. |
