| There are many tools available for building web pages. There are online utilities, which allow your page to be constructed completely on the web, with no separate software. There are web page (HTML) editors like Microsoft's Front Page. The page we'll build is a simple one, and can be built with a word processor. For this example we'll use Microsoft Works 2000. Start your word processor now. |

| Click the hot text, "Start a blank word processor document." If any help or tutorial windows appear, close them. |

| Enter some sample text, as shown. We start with plain text first, but we're about to add some fancy features. |

| Now enlarge some of the text, or use italics, bold, and colors, to make the text fancy for the web. |

| Now use your word processor's "Save As" dialog to put the document in the \Webs\Firstweb location you created. The file type should be HTML and the full file name should be Index.htm or Index.html. Close your word processor. |
