| Web sites have a structure similar to the directory (folder) structure on your computer's hard disk. Each web site can have subdirectories, each with its own picture files, text files, background images, and HTML (web) documents. Before you start building a site, you'll make a local home for it on your hard drive. Start Windows Explorer and go to the top level of your system disk. |

| At the top level of your system disk, create a new folder by selecting File / New / New Folder, and name the folder Webs. |

| Each web site you build will start locally in its own location under the new "Webs" directory. Create a subdirectory under Webs called "Firstweb." |

| To finish getting ready to build your web site, you need to add the new Web structure to your backup scheme so your webs will be backed up properly. The rest of this tutorial tells you how to insert the new directory structure into a Microsoft Backup save set. You may skip it if you do not use the Microsoft Backup utility. Start Microsoft Backup now. In most cases it is in Start / Programs / Accessories / System Tools. |

| If you are shown this prompt at startup, respond that you want to open an existing job. Otherwise, when Backup starts, select Job / Open. |

| Select which backup job you want to modify. In the example, we select "full data" but the change should be done again with "incremental data" if you do incremental backups. Confirm that you want to open the backup job. |

| Click the plus sign next to your main system disk, and scroll down to the Webs directory. If the box is not checked, check it now. There is no need to explore the lower-level boxes; when you check a box for a directory everything under it is included. |

| Save the backup save set (job file) you just modified, by choosing Job / Save. Then repeat the process with any other appropriate save sets. When you are finished, close the Backup program and the Windows Explorer. |
