Step 1:  Search with the Biggest Engine

The MIT List of Radio Stations on the Internet has been around for as long as I can remember. The number has grown every year, to its current level of 9000 stations. This is invaluable for finding anyone or anything broadcasting online.
Step 2:  Go to the Site

Open a Report
Go to http://wmbr.mit.edu/stations/list.html and search around the site for what you are looking for. If you want flashy graphics or music news, go somewhere else. This is the definitive word on Internet radio and should be in your Internet radio listening toolbox.
Step 3:  Choose a Search Method

Open a Report
You can search by region, broadcast type, and call letters (in the US and Canada). The scope of coverage here is hard to explain, but some quick queries from Africa might show how detailed this gets.
  Step 4:  Searching for Tanzania

First select "Africa" from the top of the page and then click "search". Be advised that the results appear at the bottom of the page. Sure enough, MIT was able to track down an Internet broadcaster in Dar Es Salaam.
  Step 5:  Enjoy the Broadcast

Open a Report
If you double click on the radio station name, it will launch the Real Player. This begins your continued lessons in the world.
