  Step 1:  Opening Disk Administrator

Open a Report
The active partition is the partition that your computer boots from. Marking the wrong partition as active may result in your computer not booting up. Mark a partition as active only if you know what you are doing. Click the Start menu. Choose Programs then "Administrative tools". Select "Disk Administrator" from the menu.
  Step 2:  Selecting Partition

Open a Report
Select the partition you want to make active. This partition should contain the operating system you want to boot.
  Step 3:  Marking Active Partition

Open a Report
Select "Mark Active" from the "Partition" menu.
  Step 4:  Read Confirmation Message

Open a Report
Disk Administrator displays a message confirming that the partition was successfully marked active and that the operating system in that partition will be started at bootup.
