  Step 1:  Editing a Document

Open a Report
Within an existing document, click on the Edit Document button in the Action bar. This will place the document in the Edit mode.
  Step 2:  Placing the cursor

Open a Report
Place, or click, your cursor within a Rich Text field. You must be within a Rich Text field in order to create, or edit, a table.
  Step 3:  Using SmartIcons

Open a Report
Click on the Create Table SmartIcon, or click on Create in the Menu bar, then choose Table.
  Step 4:  Using the Table Size Section

Open a Report
Within the Create Table dialog box, enter the number of rows and the number of columns for your table.
  Step 5:  Choosing a Table Type

Open a Report
In the Table Type section, you can choose one of four table types. These include creating a basic table; a tabbed table; an animated table, and a programmed table.
  Step 6:  Closing Create Table

Open a Report
Once you have made your choices, click OK (or press enter) to apply your options and return to the active document.
  Step 7:  Viewing the Results

Open a Report
The newly-created table can be seen within the document with your cursor in the first cell of the first column and first row.
  Step 8:  Viewing SmartIcons

Open a Report
When your cursor is inside the table, additional SmartIcons appear offering your additional table options. These SmartIcons are only available when your cursor is inside the table.
