  Step 1:  Opening a Database

Open a Report
Click on File in the Menu bar, choose Database, then click on Open (Ctrl + O). Double-click on the desired database to open it. You can also open a database from the Bookmark bar.
  Step 2:  Selecting the Document

Open a Report
Click once on the Document you want to create a link to.
  Step 3:  Applying the Command

Open a Report
Click on Edit in the Menu bar, choose Copy As Link, then click on Document Link.
  Step 4:  Pasting the Link

Open a Report
Place your cursor inside the document (or e-mail message) where you would like the document link to appear.
  Step 5:  Applying the Command

Open a Report
Choose Edit in the Menu bar, then click on Paste to insert the document link icon.
  Step 6:  Testing the Link

Open a Report
Click once on the document link. You will automatically move to the linked document.
