  Step 1:  Start Backup Program

Open a Report
This tutorial walks you through the process of checking your backup jobs to make sure you are not backing up unnecessary files. Start your backup program, and open your full data backup job.
  Step 2:  Check Download Area

Open a Report
Go to your download area and make sure there is no check mark in the box. If there is, uncheck it.
  Step 3:  Check Archive Area

Open a Report
Go to your download area and make sure there is no check mark in the box. If there is, uncheck it.
  Step 4:  Check Program Area

Open a Report
Make sure there is no check mark in the box beside program folders, either at the top level of the disk or in Program Files. Do this only for programs you have archived, and for other programs you don't want included in backup jobs.
  Step 5:  Save and Repeat

Open a Report
If you've made any changes to the full data backup job, save the file now, and repeat the process with any other backup jobs, like the incremental backup job. Close the backup program when you are finished.
