| Qwerty, pronounced "kwer-tee," refers to the arrangement of keys on a standard English computer keyboard or typewriter. The name come from the first six characters on the top line of the keyboard. |

| There is another type of keyboard called Dovark; it's still not accepted in computing. There is help to familiarize yourself with your keyboard. It's called Mavis Beacon (Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing). This will get you on the road with your keyboard. Minor care and cleaning should enable it to last a long, long time. |

| One consideration when choosing a notebook many people do not take into account is the keyboard. If you are touch typist, you will want to check out the keyboard before you buy. You may be concerned about the size of the keys in comparison to a normal size keyboard. |

| For the most part, the large format notebooks (usually with 14.1 or 15 inch displays) have the closest to a full size keyboard. The arrangement of some keys may take a little getting used to, as will using the function keys for system operations. |
